Please …..Help….. Help…. Help…. our funds are running very low.
We are all very aware of how the cost of living is having a significant impact on our lives, but please can you consider making a regular or single payment to the food pantry funds. The amount the volunteers are able to spend on the weekly shop has been reduced from £120-£150 and now stands at £80.
We also donate a £40 shop to Aid Box Community each week, which is delivered to their premises near St. Andrews Park. We would like to continue to provide this as an ‘outreach’ from our parish and the Egerton Road Community.
On a postive note, we recently received a huge donation of organic foodstuff from ‘Essential Foods,’ which is a co-operative food wholesaler. Very useful and high quality food, such as oats, flour, raisins, couscous, sugar and even chocolate buttons was received in sacks, which were then bagged into smaller quanties for food pantry use. Thank you to our volunteers Clare and Charlie for the ‘bagging service!’
We are very grateful for the support from Essential Foods and welcome their offer of further donations on a regular basis.
Please donate:
Pasta sauces
Curry sauces
Coffee
Tinned soups
Tinned peas
Washing up liquid
Shampoo
Please DO NOT donate:
Fresh food (we can’t safely store it and it will go to waste)
Where do I leave food donations?
Please put food donations either in the clear box labelled “Community Food Pantry Donation Box” at the back of the church or in the box outside the front door of the Presbytery.
How do I donate money?
There is a “Food Pantry” button on the Donation Point inside the church if you would like to make monetary donations by card. Or you can give cash to Canon Tom or put it in an envelope through Jenny’s door at 57 Egerton Road.
Thank you all for your support!
