Laudato Si’ Training Course – Hosted by St Bonaventure’s Parish
During the Training you will:
- Explore the key themes of Laudato Si’
- Reflect on the relationship between faith, justice, and ecology
- Learn about Catholic social teaching on the environment
- Discover practical ways to promote sustainability in parish life
- Connect with others passionate about caring for creation
- Qualify to become a Laudato Si Animator
The training is interactive and reflective, including presentations, discussion, prayer, and practical planning.
Event Details
Location: St Bonaventure’s Church, Bishopston BS7 8AF (this postcode is for the carpark accessed from Berkeley Road, not the main Egerton Road address. The church itself is located on Egerton Road)
Dates: Sundays: April 12, 19, 26 and May 10
Time: 1:15–2:45pm – each session begins with a shared vegetarian meal
Who can attend:
- Parishioners
- Students and young adults
- Teachers and community leaders
- Anyone interested in faith and environmental action
No previous experience is required.

The Laudato Si’ Movement is a global Catholic network inspired by the message of Laudato Si’.
It’s mission is to respond to the ecological crisis through faith, prayer, education, and action.

What Is a Laudato Si’ Animator?
A Laudato Si’ Animator is a trained volunteer who helps bring the message of Laudato Si’ to life in their community.
As an Animator you might:
- Organise parish discussions or study groups
- Support sustainability initiatives in your parish or school
- Promote events such as the Season of Creation
- Encourage ecological action and lifestyle changes
- Help communities respond to the climate crisis through faith
- Animators can join a global network of Christians working together for climate and ecological justice.
